CONTIGO STUDY
ESTUDIO DE CÁNCER HEREDITARIO DE SENO Y DE OVARIO
This study has two main objectives:
To implement a short screening questionnaire about family history in community clinics to identify Latina women with increased cancer risk
To test and compare avenues for health communication about genetic counseling, genetic testing, and hereditary breast and ovarian cancer risk with Latina women at increased risk for cancer
SIS STUDY
SISTERS INFORMING SISTERS
Sisters Informing SistersSM is a program developed for breast cancer survivors by a group of survivors, advocates, and researchers. SIS aims to:
Provide women and their families with skills and support to make informed decisions, communicate their needs, preferences and decisions to their healthcare providers.
Empower Black women and their families during the breast cancer treatment experience.
Covid-19 Study
This study had multiple phases with different aims:
Phase 1: To understand the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on Black, African American, Hispanic, and Latinx breast cancer survivors in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Phase 2: To develop an accessible informational website that is responsive to the needs of the target population, providing education on Covid-19 and breast cancer.
Phase 3: To test the resulting website and gather feedback on its use.
